CFC becomes a Founding Adopter of the Impact Performance Reporting Norms
Amsterdam, 17 August 2026 - The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) is pleased to announce that it has become a Founding Adopter of the Impact Performance Reporting Norms, reinforcing its commitment to transparent, credible and consistent reporting on the impact of its investments.
The Impact Performance Reporting Norms establish shared expectations for reporting impact results and are designed to strengthen the quality, transparency and usefulness of impact reporting. By becoming a Founding Adopter, the CFC joins a community of organisations demonstrating leadership in advancing more transparent and consistent impact reporting practices
For the CFC, the adoption of the Reporting Norms builds on its existing approach to impact measurement and reporting. The Norms will be integrated into future reporting cycles, strengthening the way CFC communicates its impact performance to Member States, partners, investors and other stakeholders.
“For the CFC, credible impact reporting is essential to understanding and demonstrating the difference our investments make. Becoming a Founding Adopter reflects our commitment to transparency and accountability, while strengthening how we measure, assess and communicate our impact. It also contributes to a broader effort to advance more consistent and meaningful impact reporting across the impact investing community.”
- Mathias Cooman, Impact Strategy Officer, Common Fund for Commodities
The CFC’s Founding Adopter status also encompasses the CFC’s Graduation Fund and the Agricultural Commodity Transformation (ACT) Fund, helping provide a consistent approach to impact reporting across the CFC’s new and existing mandates. This will support transparent engagement with partners as well as existing and prospective investors.
The Reporting Norms cover key aspects of impact reporting, including an organisation’s impact thesis, impact management approach, use of data, impact performance, governance, unintended or negative impacts, and case studies. Their integration will help make the CFC’s reporting easier to navigate and provide stakeholders with a clearer understanding of both the results achieved and the approaches used to assess them.
Becoming a Founding Adopter is an important step in the CFC’s continued efforts to strengthen accountability around the economic, social and environmental impact of its investments and to contribute to the development of credible and consistent impact reporting practices.
